But not long after “The Jukebox of Regret” was finished in July and posted on SoundCloud, nearly every song on it somehow turned up on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and at least a dozen other streaming platforms. This might have counted as a pleasant surprise, except for a bizarre twist: Each song had a new title, attached to the name of a different artist. This mysterious switcheroo might have gone unnoticed. But by happenstance, it was discovered when the guy who produced the album posted one of the songs on his studio’s Instagram account. To his astonishment, Instagram automatically tagged the song “Preston” by Bad Dog as a song called “Drunk the Wine” by Vinay Jonge — a “musician” with no previous songs and zero profile on the internet.

However, the reason Apple is designated an "own it, don't trade" stock is because near-term catalysts are less important than the longer-term trajectory. If 2023 taught us anything it's that the stock market will always surprise you. We think the best approach is to not worry too much about quarterly dynamics, and focus on the longer-term drivers of Apple stock. A year and a half ago, he started spending some of his weekends producing music in what he calls the passive listening space — and quickly found "lo-fi" music production to be a "very easy" side hustle. When he and Bono collaborate on lo-fi tracks, they set a timer — just two minutes for writing, producing and naming each song. The alleviation of expectations that comes with lo-fi music production is "kind of therapeutic," Turner says, and the extra cash doesn't hurt. Here's how he built and manages his lo-fi music side hustle. Turner says he uses TuneCore, an online service that places your tracks on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and TikTok.

(Photo by Daily Mirror/Daily Mirror/Mirrorpix via Getty Images)LONDON — A new Beatles song featuring the complete Fab Four will be released Thursday, 45 years after John Lennon began writing it — with the help of artificial intelligence. A short film detailing the making of the "last Beatles song" was published to the band's official YouTube channel Wednesday and has already gained more than 1.4 million views. Lennon recorded a demo of the song with piano and vocals at his home in New York two years before he was murdered in 1980. Work on completing the song revived more than two decades later, when director Peter Jackson was producing the mammoth eight-hour Beatles documentary "Get Back." Artificial intelligence software — which Jackson used to clean up archive footage in the film — isolated Lennon's voice on "Now And Then," removed background noise and improved sound quality.

In 2023, I’m still building a non-streaming music collection, shelling out hard cash for what the streaming industry has convinced consumers should be free. I know it’s a privilege for me to pooh-pooh streaming — after all, for those with less disposable income than I have, it offers access to enormous music libraries at little to no cost. I was still using iTunes until 2019, when Apple decided to sunset the app and replace it with a new media player called Music (not to be confused with Apple Music, the streaming service). Once I add something to my iTunes library, I have it forever. at my college’s radio station, where we shared files and browsed the station’s racks for CDs we could rip, all to fatten up our iTunes libraries.

New York CNN —Taylor Swift’s fans know the greatest films of all time were never made, but that could be called into question come October 13, when her Eras Tour concert movie is set for release in North America. Experts say that choosing movie theaters for the Eras Tour film’s debut over the small screen is a move fitting of both Swift’s business acumen and relationship with her fans. Unlike her previous concerts, the Eras Tour has become a cultural phenomenon. Others seemed to have their own reasons for concern about the Eras Tour film release’s timing. The “Exorcist: Believer,” originally scheduled to be released on the same day as Swift’s film, moved it up a week.
